Learning World
English & Literacy World
English opens every other subject. This pathway is built for learners who speak English as a second language, and for anyone who wants to read and write with more confidence.
Our promise
Start where you are
A learner's school class does not decide their reading or speaking level. Lovia helps each learner begin at the point that is right for them and move forward from there — with encouraging level names, never labels.
Starting out
Beginning with sounds, words and short sentences.
Growing
Reading and writing more independently.
Confident
Handling longer texts and fuller writing.
Flying
Reading widely and writing with real control.
Levels are a starting point only. Lovia does not place children automatically, and no learner is ever described as behind, weak or failing.
Learning experiences
Build English step by step
Learners can explore activities and resources that help them listen, speak, work with sounds and letters, build vocabulary, read for meaning and express their own ideas.
Listen and speak
Hear clear language, practise aloud and grow confidence through purposeful repetition.
Build with sounds and words
Explore how sounds, letters and words work together as reading foundations develop.
Read, understand and write
Strengthen vocabulary, make meaning from texts and communicate ideas in writing.
Listen. Learn. Try it yourself. A short interactive English experience.

What we are not doing
No recording, no scoring of a child's voice
Speaking practice is guided out loud with a teacher, parent or friend. Lovia does not record children, does not store voices, and does not claim to assess pronunciation.
